Origin: Tasmanian endemic
Form: Slender open tree – often weeping, evergreen
Height: 5.0 -7.0m, width 3.5 -4.0m
Growth: Very fast
Uses: Screen, windbreak, street tree and specimen planting
Soils: Any soil with fair drainage. Especially good in dry impoverished soils like mudstone
Exposure: Full sun
Frost: Very hardy
Drought: Extremely resistant
Wind firm: Very wind firm
Flowers: White flowers in spring and summer
Features: Elegant smooth mottled trunk. Endemic Tasmanian species. Carries juvenile ‘spinning’ foliage for years. Used with cut cut flowers.
