Origin: Tas, Vic, NSW, Qld, SA. Tasmanian provenance.
Rosette clump forming fern 0.5-1.0m height. Width 1.0m+. Evergreen. Growth rate fast. Use for ferneries, pots, rockeries, ponds. All soils with reasonable drainage are best but will take wet soil. Fertilise with blood and bone or manure. Part shade to heavy shade but will take a sheltered sunny position. Moderately frost hardy. Keep moist but will survive dry periods.
Features: Will tolerate coastal areas.
