Tree to 10m, often taller. The female ‘flower’ consists of a seed bearing scale which becomes pink and fleshy. ‘Leaves’ are thick, leathery and resemble celery leaves. Very frost hardy. Full sun to part shade. Not drought tolerant. Moist soils. Specimen planting.
