Small tree (alpine) and tall tree (lower altitudes) 5.0 – 30m height. 4.0 -6.0m width. Growth rate very fast. Use for screen, windbreak, habitat. Any moist soils with fair drainage. Full sun to part shade. Extremely frost hardy. Needs summer water-rain. Very wind firm. White flowers in summer-autumn.Pruning not required but can be pruned if necessary.Stocks often limited.

Features: Smooth orange/red or yellow/green trunk.
