Description
- 20 cm x 40 cm, stems to 1.2 m high
- Flat or in rolled green to bluish-green leaves, rough on upper surface, sometimes hairy. Leaf sheath has ear-like appendages encircling the stem.
- Green flowers, becoming straw-coloured
- Flowering time October to January
- Butterfly attracting Food plant for caterpillars
- Well drained soil in grassy forest. Full sun, semi shade.
- Plant in drifts with other grasses and herbs under established trees.
